Who Says You Can't Teach an Old Dog New Tricks

A couple of months ago, I found a new blog that peaked my curiosity. It was about being a mom, cooking, fashion and decorating. I read it daily, and was linked to other blogs with similar topics. Before I knew it, I was following this group of friends. Something about their blogs felt familiar to me. I'm a mom, I love fashion, crafting and decorating but something was off...oh yeah, these friends, they are 20 somethings, just starting their "family" journey and I was just about to become an empty nester, who's turning 50...PROBLEM. Though I enjoyed their blogs, the nostalgia and realization that those days were behind me, left me a little blue. So I set off to find blogs that were more about where I am now in life. Two kids in college, two off to boarding school, about to turn 50...and nada, could not find any that were at all appealing to me. Then...

Brainstorm..."I'll start my own blog"...problem...not the most computer literate person out here, but hey I'll give it a try. After days and nights of googling, video watching, cut and pasting and reading blog designs for Dummies, voila'...I have a blog. So you see you can teach and old dog new tricks...let's see where this journey leads me.
