Hello February

I can hardly believe we are already into February, wow!  We remain busy with the littles and their sports.

Brandon continues to excel at wrestling.  He won a few and lost a few, but has remain strong in not being "pinned".  Losing only by points.  He came in 2nd place in the IAC's JV at Georgetown Prep.

Bri started her 3rd meet strong.  Jumping her PR for EHS at 13'4".  With 1 more jump to go, she went to run hurdles.  And then this happened....

She was leading the pack, clipped the hurdle and fell.  It was very emotional for her but her teammates, fellow competitors and coach all comforted her.  She remains a strong competitor, she's just young and inexperienced but has a strong future in the sport if she wished to continue.  Lord knows after the "dance" fiasco, mom is not pushing her.  Like I always tell them, its their childhood and their memories, I'm just along for the ride.

And for the "BIG" News...My husband...I'm so Proud of him.  I can't think of a person more deserving of this achievement.  He is the hardest, most determined worker I've ever known.  He is so focused and driven, I admire him and pray that our children learn from him.

Life Lately, The Littles Edition

The Little's have been busy this past week.  Sports, Removal of Braces, College Visits and a Big Birthday!

Brandon Wrestling won 1 match, lost the other.

Brianna 3place hurdles and 2 place long jump.

Then this happened.  Where did the time go.  I swear it feels like just a month ago she had them put on.  For her it seemed like a lifetime ago.

So Beautiful.  I can't get over how old she looks.  She went in as my baby girl and came out this gorgeous teenager.

Brandon had 2 college visits this week.  First off he went to Army for a Prospect Camp/Visit.
He did very well.  Several amazing goals!

Then he went to visit Marquette University.  Visited with the Coach for a couple of hours.  Campus was beautiful.  He seems very excited with the prospect of playing for them.  I can't wait to see where his dreams take him.  One thing I know for sure, he will end up where he's suppose to.

We celebrated this little goobers "15" Birthday on Sunday night.  Boarding School problems, can't spend the day with them on their birthdays.

All she wanted for her birthday (not) was her ears pierced.  Funny how she hates to wear earrings, complains all the time.  Teenagers!

Awww my little goober, where has time gone!  Miss my baby, but love the relationship I have with her now!

January

our january has been filled with cleaning, organizing, re arranging rooms (yet again), our first snow (be it a dusting), updating calendars, lacrosse, lacrosse, lacrosse, wrestling, track, meltdowns, sickness  & huge news (updating later this month).

This is a little late in posting and years ago I resolved to not making resolutions but I really like this list:

 1.   Schedule some fun time every day with my love
 2.   Stop overthinking
 3.   Relax more
 4.   Let myself off the hook
 5.   Remember my true worth
 6.   Be prepared to take a risk
 7.   Take my dreams seriously
 8.   Make myself a priority
 9.   Keep a sense of humor
10.   Appreciate all I have

a new normal...That's where we find ourselves.  Our nest is once again "not so empty".

So this guy has moved home and is actively searching for a job.  Not an easy task!

New Year's Week Wrap Up

2015

Happy New Year!  2015 already, where has the time gone.  I guess it's true the older you get the faster time goes.  I can't believe I'm 50, been with Wil for 33 years, and have a 22, 21, 16 & soon to be 15 year old. Wow!

Spent the last couple of days of December in Tampa, Florida.  Brandon was on the Madlax National U-15 Team.  They were Tournament Champions!  Best out of 40 U-15 teams.

What else do you do after playing lacrosse all day, you go enjoy the beach at Sunset...duh!  Absolutely gorgeous!

Got our fill of yummy Cuban Food! nom nom

And then it was time to head home back to the rest of our crew and back to CRAZY!

Christmas Week "Wrap-Up"

It's been a busy, festive and sickly week here.

On Friday, The Oldest came home!

Captured this precious moment, when Coop saw his Daddy!  So stinking Sweet!

We went to pick up the Littles and this is what we found...The Flu!

It was a rainy, yucky day, so we picked up Dad and headed to Family Pizza. (Note...this family is all about food, and we eat out A LOT...mama don't cook)

Saturday we were up early and Christmas Traditions started.  First stop the Ugly Christmas tree.  This year it did not disappoint.  If you look closely you will see the top of the tree is actually missing.

Next stop was Santa's Workshop!

Santa I've been good!

Our annual pose by the White House!

My least favorite tradition.

Maggiano's!

Merry Christmas!

Now we are off to Florida, Lax for dayz!
